Wow! This moody and compelling song is so rich with Cajun French New Orleans vibes. While the imagery of the storytelling captures the imagination and draws in the listener, the instrumentation, especially the accordion and the brass really anchor the song in this milieu.. Fabulous all the way around; beautifully written, played and produced. I'm looking forward to hearing more from the Cajun Bleu album!

lyrics
Oh, mon Chéri
Sitting by a window wondering
where can you be?
Are you the one with the je ne sais quoi?
Are you the one juste pour moi?
Come down south along the Mississippi
Vieux Carré is where you'll find me
Oh, mon Chéri
Knocking on my door with an RSVP
I can feel your eyes on me -
Burning down the yard and the pecan tree
Somebody told you to pass this way
Making plans for a get away
Oh, the moon shines
Silver white light to ease your mind
Silver white love, that treats you kind
Always near, never left behind/always by your side
Oh, Chéri!
Warmest arms, I guarantee
Oh, how I want that man
Gonna leave home, gonna make a stand
Don’t fret mama, it’s a grand plan -
We’re going to our the wonderland!
